Air Conditioning

HAS YOUR CAR, VAN, TRUCK, CARAVAN OR MOTORHOME LOST ITS COOL?

Is your vehicle’s air conditioning system blowing out warm air and only working intermittently? If so an air conditioning recharge can bring your system back to full working order. Manufacturers recommend that your air con is recharged every two
years. Recharging is not typically included in your service, so it is important to make sure that you include it as part of your regular vehicle maintenance routine.

Vehicle air conditioners that are not recharged regularly will be less effective and have to work harder to produce cool air. This puts more strain on the engine and uses more fuel. If your air conditioning system has not been recharged in the past
two years it will dramatically reduce efficiency.

There are two types of gas used in air conditioning, R134A, which is used in the majority of vehicles built before 2017 and the more expensive HFO-R1234YF, which is used in all new cars. Our R134A recharge service starts at £45 and our HFO-
R1234YF starts at £89.99.

What does the air conditioning recharge service include:

  • We come to your home or workplace.
  • Appointments are available seven days a week.
  • Analysis of existing refrigerant.
  • Visual inspection of car air con system.
  • Recover existing refrigerant from the system.
  • Evacuate the air con system.
  • Pressure Test with Nitrogen (OFN) to inspect for leaks.
  • Vacuum System to remove moisture.
  • FREE UV leak detection dye test.
  • Replace PAG oils as required.
  • Run a system test and report any issues.

THE RECHARGING PROCESS

The recharge process is quite simple and involves removing any old refrigerant gas from your air-con system before replacing it with the correct amount of new refrigerant as per your vehicle manufacturer’s recommendation. We also carry out a 30-minute vacuum process and a UV leak detection dye test to ensure there are no cracks or damage in your vehicle air conditioning system that could cause the gas to leak out.

Within an hour the whole recharge process is completed, and you will once again have refreshing cool air on demand.
Not included in the price:
Air Conditioning leak sealer for small leaks – From £29.99.

AIR CONDITIONING CLEANING

If you notice bad odours are coming from your air vents when you turn on your car AC, then your vehicle may benefit from an air con clean, also known as a ‘bomb’. Over time, bacteria and fungi can build on the evaporator in your air con system, which produces this unpleasant odour when it turns on.

ML Pro Performance offers a new Amazing system for air conditioning to decontaminate the system and kill the bacteria within. The process involves setting off a cleaning spray or ‘bomb’ in the vehicle cabin which is sucked into the air vents and kills off the unwanted
bacteria within, leaving your vehicle air conditioning system clean and smelling fresh again.
An air-con debug is available as an optional extra when you have your air conditioning recharged and costs £35.
